Hydro-Boost: The Innovation That Changes Everything
Traditional air conditioners reject heat through a dry air-cooled condenser coil. The NAE takes a completely different approach: a built-in water supply line and spray nozzles intermittently mist the specially designed corrosion-resistant condenser coil during peak demand.
This evaporative cooling effect dramatically lowers the condenser temperature — allowing the refrigerant cycle to run at much higher efficiency. The result: up to 30 SEER2* performance with Hydro-Boost enabled, versus the AHRI-certified baseline of 16–18 SEER2 in standard air mode.
Navien’s proprietary algorithms automatically activate Hydro-Boost only when conditions maximize the benefit, minimizing water usage while maximizing savings.
