What you’re actually getting installed
A central AC system has two main parts that work together to cool your home. Here’s exactly what we install — and why each piece matters.
Outdoor Condenser Unit
Sits outside your home on a concrete pad. Contains the compressor and condenser coil — this is where heat from inside your house is expelled to the outside air. The unit you see in the packages (Ducane, Keeprite, Navien) is this component.
Indoor Evaporator Coil
Installed inside your furnace or air handler. Cold refrigerant runs through this coil — your furnace fan blows warm house air over it, the air cools down, and the cooled air is distributed through your existing ductwork.
Copper Line Set (25ft Included)
The insulated copper pipes that connect the two units. Refrigerant travels between the condenser and coil continuously. We include 25ft of line set in every package — enough for most standard Calgary homes.
Electrical Disconnect & Whip
A dedicated electrical shutoff box mounted near the condenser for safety and code compliance, plus the flexible conduit (whip) connecting it to the unit. Included in every installation — no surprises on the final invoice.

AC installation questions — answered
How do I know which package is right for my home?
The sq ft ranges on each package are a starting guide. The actual unit size (tonnage) is determined during your free in-home estimate — we measure your home’s layout, insulation, window area, and sun exposure to size the system correctly. Oversizing or undersizing an AC causes problems; we make sure it’s right.
What’s actually included in each installation?
Every package includes the condenser unit, R410A cabinet evaporator coil, 25ft line set, concrete pad, electrical disconnect and whip, and complete professional installation. We pull the required permits. No hidden labour fees — the price includes everything listed.
How long does installation take?
Most residential installs are completed in a single visit of 4–6 hours. We come with all equipment, handle the full install, and leave your home with a running, tested AC system.
Is the Navien 18 SEER really better than the 16 SEER Ducane?
For larger homes or those prioritizing long-term energy savings: yes. The Navien NAA17V36 uses a variable-speed compressor that adjusts output to maintain steady temperature — quieter, more efficient, and better humidity control. The Ducane 16 SEER is an excellent, proven choice for smaller to average Calgary homes where that level of efficiency isn’t necessary.
Is financing really $25 biweekly?
